It was all going well, although I do not have a head for heights, until my naughty pony decided to use the ladder to scratch on!
He seemed to think but when I shouted in my strong, scared voice he left it....else I'd still be up there!

Our dog once locked us in a stable whilst the vet was scanning a mare.

Very embarrassing as the vet was the youngest and therefore the one designated to climb over the door.

Luckily she did not charge extra

It was pretty scary for the first 20 mins because i was hammering at the door to try and dislodge the bolts, once i realised that it wasn't going to work I sat down to wait. After that my sister and I never went in without a broom to wedge in the bolt keepers!

Suzie Q !!! that would have freaked me out.... I can do spiders, bugs.. going out in the dark etc ... but locked in a small space.... horrifying!!!

My dog once tried to trap me in the attic, he knocked the steps over and i had to jump for it , we had high ceilings in that house, i did forgive the dog
Goldenmane i am sure he didn,t mean it
SuziQ i think Barry did it so he could do some bonding, at least your OH realised you were missing

Oh dear I did grin.. our hay store is an old lorry back with the swivvel bolts that catch lorry doors closed... one evening the wind caught the door and slammed the blooming thing shut letting the bolts engage. I didn't have a mobile phone and sat in the barn for 2 hrs with our then feral cat Barry, before my husband missed me and decided to come and look for me!!

The only good thing about it was that Barry and I came to an understanding and he would allow me to stroke him after that!

Ari same thing happened to me. I had to tip the water bucket out over the door, upend it and stand on it to try and straddle the door. Was not a pretty sight, Not a teenager anymore and definitely not very agile. But I made it one piece, thank goodness no one saw me. Very careful since that kick bolt safely in its cradle.

You would have been helpless had he pushed ladder over and gone off down the field. I know the feeling as alone one night in stable and kick bolt slipped down and door is padded with rubber mat leaving no foot hold for agile escape. Lucky I had a human comb in grooming kit long and thin enough to lift the bolt from inside otherwise I would have had to ring for help.
