Posted - 02 Jan 2012 : 6:10:08 PM It's my last day of freedom, back to the grind tomorrow (BOO!!) Oh to be a lady that lunches Sooo me & friend packed up our Christmas money & polished off our debit cards and hauled whatsit to the horsey folks idea of heaven that is Derby House Didn't find anything for me, but Sunny is now sporting a lovely new bridle reduced from £70 to £35 a lightweight turnout, on the understanding he bursting out of his current one HALF PRICE I just couldn't bring myself to leave it behind A leadrope (one can never have too many) and a selection of other random odds & sods that seemed to gravitate into my basket. It's just too easy to spend pennies on ponies And we did actually "Do lunch!" as well, how civilised.
Anyone else partaken in a bit of gratuitous spending in the sales yet? |

Posted - 02 Jan 2012 : 9:21:44 PM Honeyb, Taz will not be getting a rug of any description never mind one that cost £200 as he takes them off; don't ask me how but he does it with all the fastenings done up. I have given up trying with him. I just have to look the other way so I don't see him naked in winter especially as he has such a fine coat but I seem to be the only one it bothers. I do keep him in if the weather is really foul and he has a mobile stable in his field if he wants to shelter during the day but I hate him not being rugged as I feel the cold and suffer for him!!! Fortunately, being a stallion, he has his own field so the others don't "kill" the rug once he gets it off1!!

Posted - 02 Jan 2012 : 9:11:18 PM Let us know how you get on with that Rose! If you succeed I'll pass my vets number onto you Sunny would love a Rambo I'm sure, but with his tendency to personalise his body-wear I've quickly discovered that he can be happy with my DH bargains (It avoids embarrassing scenes of me weeping as he proudly displays his handiwork ) |

Posted - 02 Jan 2012 : 7:20:27 PM Fat chance, Rose!!!
I did get two Rambo Optimos, a bit cheaper plus a free 200gm liner, so I just hope they fit as well as the duos do! They were still a lot of money but hopefully wil last a long time. Thet were mail order so no battling through the sales for them.
happy New Year to everyone and all your horses.
