Posted - 02 Jan 2012 : 3:30:33 PM So fed up with everything being inundated. We have a low lying barn and there has been so much rain we are having to run a generator from about 10am to 4pm to stop the water flooding the barn.It makes so much noise can't hear the radio for Woman's Hour which is how I pass the mucking out time. Some local farmer has acquired a 'gas cartridge?' bird scarer which bangs v loudly and intermittently all the daylight hours to protect his silage. Even the haylage supplier, a local farmer is complaining. Our large dog is terrified when any guns are fired and is now extremely reluctant to come down to the field. Everything has a silver lining, all the banging meant the horses weren't upset as they are usually when our ****neighbour let off fireworks about 60yds from our timber barn and fire wasn't such a worry as the barn is saturated! |

Posted - 02 Jan 2012 : 4:25:06 PM The bird scarer seems a bit over the top. he can use nets to protect his silage, a lot quieter!
Flooding, I have every sympathy. |
