Posted - 24 Dec 2011 : 07:07:45 AM A bit late I know but I am just putting up our Christmas tree and began to wonder how the fairy came to be at the top of the tree, so I rang Santa, yeah really, and he told me the story.
He called all his Elves and Fairies together just before Christmas and gave them all Christmas trees to sell and told them all not to return until they had all gone, well Christmas eve arrived and all the elves and fairies returned having so;ld all their trees, with exception of one fairy who had one tree left, she said very tearfully to Santa " I could not sell this last one, what should I do wiith it"
The rest is as they say history, so now we know how the Fairy got to be at the top of the tree.
