Can anyone explain to me why 'people' would and could keep pigs in such a way! 
USA - URGENT!
Billions of animals need our help. Yesterday, Florida Senator Jim Norman reintroduced his bill to protect animal abusers by making it a crime to film animal cruelty on factory farms. Senator Norman wants to stop groups like PETA, MFA, HSUS, and others from filming undercover video of factory farming. He states factory farming is a private industry and therefore the public does not have a right to see what goes on inside their walls.
He says that if people saw the pigs getting castrated, for example, they would probably not eat ham (McDonalds). The animals desperately need your voice. Without you, they have no hope.

Having seen a picture of a pig on its way to slaughter I think it is to stop them fighting. CCTV for Slaughterhouses on Facebook is a mine of information...although be prepared. |

OMG!!!! these pictures are horrific I wish I could do something as will now see these images in my head all the time....it is soo very sad that any living creature has to live like this   |

As a former animal care student (Now having a diploma in animal care and managmnent with added exotic and aquatic qualifications) and having written a whole section of my course on pigs this is totally heartbreaking this needs to change! These people make me sick! |

Possibly to stop them mutilating each other? Also maybe they can't move very well so can't escape so no need for expensive fences and pens. Just kept in open barn amongst farm machinery. I have no idea how these people have the nerve to call themselves human. This is what I consider evil. |

This is shocking, pigs love to wander round rummaging in the mud and grass, they are such clever animals, brings a tear to my eyes seeing this, shame on these people for keeping an animal in this way. |

I just don't know, which is why I was wondering if someone can explain why? So horrific. Maybe it's so they can force feed them and /or not let them move around? Who the hell thinks of this and who makes such cages?! Makes you sick, there are no depths too low some humans will stoop to.

It is a private industry but that doesn't give them permission to any abuse only because it's behind closed doors!Plus they're not dealing with some computer components or machinery,but with sentient,living and feeling beings!
If everything was normal then why should they want to hide it?Doesn't that already show there's guilt?
And if people won't eat ham if they saw pigs being castrated,that's too bad,maybe they will at least do it using anesthetic..
Somebody once said if slaughterhouses had glass walls,people would stop eating meat... |
