Posted - 15 Jun 2009 : 1:27:44 PM This is a bit of a long shot, but does anyone have any guinea fowl day old chicks? I tried to hatch half a dozen and have ended up with one lonely one so I'd like to get him a couple of friends

Posted - 15 Jun 2009 : 5:46:41 PM have you got a fur and feather auction near you? If you can't find any GF chicks, some ordinary chicks would keep it company. We have had some strange pairs with our fowl. 2 of the best have been a chicken who nearly had a heartattack when all her brood of ducklings throw themselves into the water, a duck who tried it's best to get a baby chick to swim. But the best was a broody who hatched 2 Rhea eggs, and had, to her giant babies with long necks.
