My friend came over today and I did her hair for her and afterwards when I was cleaning up, my arms in the joints really ached all of a sudden then my arms became really heavy like lead weights and then they shook violently and I could not stop them, my friend said it looked really frightening as both arms were shaking uncontrollably and I could not work them tried to touch my face and missed.....I know it sounds funny, but it really scared me I rushed to the doctors and in my pidgeon french told him what happened, he thinks it is a trapped nerve this happend once before but only in one arm and only lasted a few seconds and was not anywhere as bad as today........is it possible to be a trapped nerve????? I must confess I am a little scared |

How awful about your brother Gerry
It does sound like a trapped nerve - I've had it once in only one arm but it was very violent and very scarey as the arm is out of control. Never happened again.
Reckon Offira was right - the outstretched position probably caused a bit of a spasm. x |

Thank you Kathleen, yes I feel fine now, just thought there are lots of nurses and professional people on here and wondered what their thoughts were, it was really odd but really scary.........ps your pics are sooo cute with the little boy |

Thank you offira, the trouble is my mind runs away with me as lost my brother when he was 18 years old to a brain tumour (not cancer) and silly as it sounds I thought oh God!!!!!! felt a bit sheepish it might be only a trapped nerve, but the thing is my arms were not trembling they were shaking violently and very fast!!!! going to take the anit inflammatory and make a note of when it happened in case it happens again |

That does sound a bit scary. As it affected both arms it might be because you had your arms outstretched for a long time while doing your friend's hair.
We had a cat (this is relevant!) that used to stand with a trembly leg, if you asked him to walk on a bit he was fine just seemed to trap a nerve in some positions.
I hope you feel better tomorrow.
