Posted - 04 Jun 2009 : 2:09:17 PM One of the mad economists I work with has proposed the following theory:
People who like marmite don't like Turkish Delight (and vice versa)
In my case this is true as I like marmite but don't like turkish delight...

Posted - 05 Jun 2009 : 11:43:06 PM Love Both, agree with Leila about TD with Pistachio, gorgeous. This is Mrs V. Senior, Junior V hates both, probably didn't get the chance to try them as a small child as I had eaten the lot! |

Our house doesn't function without Marmite. If there's nothing else to eat, there's ALWAYS marmite on toast! |

Posted - 05 Jun 2009 : 7:59:20 PM Have always loved Turkish Delight but am a relatively recent (couple of years) convert to Marmite |

Posted - 05 Jun 2009 : 6:45:46 PM Love Marmite (on toast, on cheese & toast), will only eat Turkish Delight if there's nothing else.
Mittens, that does sound like an interesting combination - what on earth inspired you to even try it....or were they the only left-overs in the house?

Posted - 05 Jun 2009 : 6:26:09 PM Marmite contains B12 so might well help against biting insects, as B12 is reputed to keep 'em off. |

Posted - 05 Jun 2009 : 11:22:19 AM Like both in moderation. Have a friend who swears that marmite everyday stops her being bitten by insects, and she is very fair skinned. |

Posted - 04 Jun 2009 : 6:55:46 PM Oooh, yum yum for both (although not together....) REAL turkish delight is gorgeous - the proper stuff from Turkey or Egypt. Mmmm... much tastier than the ubersweet pink stuff, although I like that too.
BTW recommendation for all: Do not spread champagne marmite on weetabix. Yuck. |
