Jevon is still on a high, I wonder if people realise that 13 months ago he had never been near a horse let alone ride one. Not only did he win the senior young handlers but he got 2nd in the Young Riders AND a 4th in dressage.
This was his very first show EVER!
What a fantastic first show for him
Wow! that is just wonderful. Many congratulations obviously a very talented young man. Also lovely to read on Vera's post that he is a nice well mannered lad. |

Posted - 03 Aug 2011 : 5:07:48 PM I know! How many of us come away with 5 rosettes, a trophy, a fantastic garland, from 3 classes AND a mention in H+H at your first show.
He's such a nice well mannered lad. He literally knocked on my friends door 13 months ago and asked if he could help with the horses, which happened to be arabs!
Kadie (Alkaff) has quite a story to tell as well and not just her lack of tail! |

Posted - 03 Aug 2011 : 2:53:46 PM HI Marilyn
Yes Peter took some in the class so im getting ready to place a big order! lol
Shame they wont be mentioned in the article, doubt many mother and daughter acts have made it that far and would be nice to promote these older horses in the showring too. |

Posted - 03 Aug 2011 : 1:51:03 PM Congrats! Which I'd realsied all this as it would have been lovely to get some photos of them together ... and could have got a mention in my Horse and Hound report too (although was over the word limit as it was!!)- it's OK Pete took them together!!! |

Posted - 03 Aug 2011 : 12:25:54 PM Thoroughly enjoyed the show although the rain did fall during our class in typical Malvern style.
Some lovely photos and great to see PsyDream as i was busy preparing for our championship so missed the stallion classes.
Personally we super results with 1st and 2nd in the ridden Anglos with mother and daughter. Then BNC Anglo and her daughter Res Res BNC! Seeing them both in the main ring was a very special moment- Nuri aged 22yrs and her daughter first year out aged 4yrs! Then Nuri in the Supreme gaining Reserve reserve!
I entered Nuri at the last minute because she had seen the lorry go out without her and was not impressed so i thought why not, but never imagined in my wildest dreams she would win. She really is a truly special horse. And to have given me a special daughter to follow in her footseps is just wonderful. |

Posted - 02 Aug 2011 : 10:26:44 PM Halsdon took 2 - Preferans (Stallion) 4th in class and Pinta (mare) who won her class.
Great show, the walk in to the ring meant the horses had time to settle before trotting out, and my goodness didn't some of them really move!!!! Hardly any broke stride which made spectating all that bit more exciting.
You will be pleased to hear none of the tree's were harmed at this years show
Brilliant show! Well done to all |

Posted - 01 Aug 2011 : 9:03:42 PM He certainly is, and proving to be a fabulous sire too
Have to say, one of my highlights had to be CAS Sabur - I've never seen him in the flesh before and I thought he was MAGNIFICENT !!! At one point, someone in the stands whistled loudly and that horse just GREW . Amazing, testosterone fuelled macho man, awesome ! |

Posted - 01 Aug 2011 : 6:25:40 PM Very well put Karen. Im a huge fan of Psy Dream as he is the sire of my gelding. I would love a cuddle with him
I think the word should have been expressive rather than challenging |
