Posted - 30 Jul 2009 : 1:03:05 PM I can't go to Malvern this year due to my beautiful baby girl being born last week, believe me if I had not had a caesarean I would have driven up today and introduced bubs to the show scene, but hubby insists I need to stay at home! so wondered if you wonderful folk who managed to attend would post results for the pure bred in hand classes each day? I heard that it was pouring with rain last night, I hope it has cleared up! |

Posted - 02 Aug 2009 : 7:10:49 PM Hi Lottieherts!
Yes, he went as well as I could ever have wanted - the ground was very poached and he hates the rain but took it all in his stride. Am extremely happy with his result - thank you!
Yes, he will be at towerlands before going to HOYS - hope you will be able to cheer him on!!

Posted - 01 Aug 2009 : 10:36:19 PM Carolyn thank you so much for your congratulations. Aatiqah was an angel and so beautifully and sensitively ridden by Joanne Woodward. Can't wait to have her home now for the winter! |

Posted - 01 Aug 2009 : 9:32:21 PM Congratulations to Julia whose lovely young mare Aatiqa was Reserve Novice Ridden at aged only four with Joanne Woodward . She took it all in her stride including the Ridden Championship in the rain today. A great result and so well deserved. Her daddy, Azteq, went third in the senior stallions looking beautiful, and grandad Djammal came first in the Veterans, 2nd Reserve Stallions overall and Reserve veteran overall - and behaved like a two year old . Congratulations to Hugh and Michelle! |

Posted - 01 Aug 2009 : 7:02:56 PM Hi Lottieherts!
Thank you for your very kind comments - we think he is a special boy.
Have just got back from a very sodden Malvern - hasn't stopped pouring down all day
Ben behaved impeccably and came 2nd in a very strong gelding class to Francis - am so very proud of him and Clare who rode him superbly. He hates the rain but today did not put a foot wrong!

Yes, Ben is competing tomorrow in the open HOYS class with Clare - im going up the crack of dawn first thing - am so excited to see him as he's been away and we are missing him like crazy - like loosing a child
Unfortunately, we were too late for a late late entry for Chelsea so she is up there with Clare and Stephen socialising

Posted - 30 Jul 2009 : 9:21:49 PM Sorry guys - im not going up till saturday but the only result I know is that the novice ridden stallion result was won by Louisa Biles and Erald! - Mega well done - they also went on to win the Novice championship -
Lou and family are having a great show so far - her dad's young gelding Darcy won his 2 year old class and then went on to reserve champion also -
Am so happy for you guys - you work so hard Lou - they are horses to be proud of - good luck for the rest of Malvern.
See you all on Saturday
