The Royal Cavalry of Oman Clarendon International Stakes Group 3 over 5 Furlongs:

An impressive result here from the Belgium raider Ircalan DA who was given a superb ride from Sam Hitchcott to just get up on the line from a all out battle at the line from Galaavi. They set off from the stalls and Galaavi and Ircalan DA on the rails quickly set a decent pace, with Galaavi going to ahead of affairs after a furlong with Sabden and Al Harith handy and Thimaar and Theoretically all tucked in behind. As they got inside the final furlong Ircalan DA took on Galaavi and these two were head to head all the way to the line with Simon Walker and Sam Hitchcott in strong drives to the finish line, in the end the brave Belgium raider Ircalan DA (Djel Bon x Alissah) got up on the line neck from Galaavi for owner/trainer and breeder Mr Verstrepen. Galaavi (Flaming Streak x Virlaxy) ran a superb race in second for Bill Smith and the Athbah Stud, she kept on really well in the closing stages but couldn’t quite get there. A neck back in third was the Gill Duffield trained and HH Shiekh Hamdan owned Thimaar (Chndaka x Alharir) who came with a storming run through the field in the closing stages and was finishing fast and furious and just got up for third on the line from Al Harith. The latter ran another solid race, prominent throughout he finished strongly and was just pipped at the line by a head.
