Malik D’Or (Dormane x Malika Fontenay) had some useful form last season, and has clearly come on over the winter, and showed his well being with an emphatic win here although he had to work hard to get past long time leader CS Al Wahed (Bengali D’Albret x Cikada (Klarnet)). The latter ran his usual game race but Malik managed to reel him back in for an in form Bill Smith. Aljawza (Dormane x Maheba De Piboul) had a tough task on only her third race, but was not disgraced seven lengths back in third.
