Dormah De
Brugere (Dormane x Ballade Folle) hasn’t
won at Group level since her juvenile days, but she made no
mistake
here making her class count to start this season off in a decisive
manner for new trainer Georgina Ward who has won this race three
times in the last four years. CS Malik (Makzan x Ciarosa) ran
a blinder on his first run of the season making all and quickening
the pace in the final two furlongs and rallying hard in the final
furlong just failing to hold on to the more experienced turn
of foot of Dormah, he lost nothing in defeat and heads straight
for the Derby Trial in June. Olivphaya (Vert Olive x Phaya) is
a very talented mare on her day and she rallied well in the final
furlong and kept on for third ahead of the one paced Circuit
Chaser.
