Brightwells Arabian horse sale - Tuesday 29th august:
Over 20 lots were offered and the majority were sold to both
racing and endurance enthusiasts. Top lot was Noble athlete
a handsome four year old colt by group 1 Coupe De Europe winner
Dorwan Du Cayrou who was sold for 3,000 gns to leading welsh
based trainer Delyth Thomas. Debrett a strapping four year
old gelding by European triple crown winner Bengali d’Dlbret
and full brother to the useful The Debator placed in both maidens
this season went for 3,000 gns bought by Adam Newey on behalf
of successful owner Linda Cross and will be trained by rising
star Sam Davison who is third in the trainers championship.
Leading west country trainer Angela Colledge secured the nicely
bred four year old filly Carazan by group 1 Zaabeel stakes
winner Makzan who sired this years group 1 derby winner Robbie,
this filly was bought for 2,000 gns by a syndicate and will
be trained by Colledge next season.
