Track:
Good to Firm
The Eccentric Aunt Maiden Stakes over 1 Mile:
1. CS Kabira Mr. H Haynes
2. Khawater Mr. P Collington
3. Shatha Mr. S Walker
Distances:
2 ½, ¾ 12
ran Time: 01:59:30
Winner owned and bred by Michael Brunton. Trained by Mr. A J
Brunton.
CS Kabira
(Djebbel x Ciarosa) finally got her head in front after numerous
attempts
and did it quite stylishly with 2 ½ lengths
to spare over her rivals. This athletic filly was superbly ridden
by Harry Haynes who once again succeeded where others have failed
(also won this season on eternal bridesmaid Miss Moncrieff),
Haynes looks to have a big future ahead of himself as a jockey
and is definitely a name to remember. Haynes had CS Kabira nicely
settled behind the leaders Khawater (Tidjani x Synaps) and Shatha
(Passem Lotois x Seyvilla Wikeyna), at the 3 furlong marker he
made his move and cruised to the front effortlessly and pushed
Kabira out to win quite comfortably. Khawater was made to look
a shade one paced but stayed on resolutely for second, ahead
of Shatha who made progress in the straight but was never nearer
than third.
The Claydon Horse Exercisers Handicap Stakes 0-85 over 1 Mile:
1. Pavots Dreamboy Mr. P J Murphy
2. Kaich Mr. S Walker
3. Operatic Mr. S Holdsworth
Distances: short head, neck 11 ran Time: 01:57:50
Winner owned and bred by Mr. E J Legg. Trained by Miss. C J
Legg.
Pavots Dreamboy
(Pavot Al Maury x Autumn Dream) and Operatic cut out a decent
pace
in this mile event, at the 3 furlong marker
Pavots Dreamboy made his move and went a length and a half clear.
With less than a furlong to run Pavots Dreamboy had the advantage
and wasn’t going to be denied even with Operatic snapping
at his heals and Kaich coming with a strong run inside the final
half furlong. At the line Pavots Dreamboy just got home by a
short head from Kaich (Khairouan x Aicha Croixnoire), with Operatic
(Vert Olive x Operetta) a valiant neck back in third.
The
Town & Country
Farms Novice Rider Banded Stakes (Series Qualifier) over 1
Mile 4 Furlongs:
1. Take A Chance Mr. H Haynes
2. Majestic Dream Mr. J Akehurst
3. Mellway Gold Charm Mr. B Adams
Distances: ½,
4 10 ran Time: 03:07:80
Winner owned and trained by Mrs. J Hutchings. Bred by HH Sheikh
Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Take a Chance
(Bengali D’Albret x Tajhiane) has slowly
been getting the hang of things and won quite cheekily here with
her ears pricked suggesting that the penny has finally dropped,
she also provided the second leg of Harry Haynes first ever double
racing. Held up with a run Take A Chance came with a strong effort
inside the final furlong and got home comfortably by half a length.
Majestic Dream (Frere Des Loups x Autumn Dream) chased hard in
second but never looked like passing the winner but remains on
an attractive mark. The winner’s stablemate Mellway Gold
Charm (Naresh x Alcina) ran another sound race a further four
lengths back in third but seemed to struggle as the pace was
upped in the final furlong.
The Jebel Ali Racing Club Handicap Stakes (Series Qualifier)
0-70 over 1 Mile:
1. Methyar Mr. S Walker
2. WA Savannah Sunrise Mr. R Woollard
3. Mystic Dream Mr. D Turner
Distances:
1 ¾,
neck 16 ran Time: 02:31:50
Winner owned by Mr. G Serra. Trained by Mr. W Smith. Bred by
HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Methyar (Passem Lotois x Saltiki) returned to form with vengeance
with an emphatic victory over WA Savannah Sunrise by 2 lengths.
Methyar was always travelling comfortably under Champion jockey
Simon Walker, she travelled smoothly throughout before coming
with her run inside the home straight and went clear easily in
the final furlong. WA Savannah Sunrise (Dantist x Sasparilla
Sunrise) was always chasing and had every chance inside the final
furlong but never looked like she was going to pass the winner.
Mystic Dream (Abitibi x Autumn Dream) came with a good effort
inside the final furlong and was just a neck back in third, he
always seems to come to hand this time of year and remains well
handicapped.
The Clarendon Stud Rated Maiden Stakes 0-70 over 6 Furlongs:
1. Mahboobti Mr. S Harrison
2. CS Volante Mr. B Adams
3. Lady Ace Mr. F J Offord
Distances:
1 ½,
2 7 ran Time: 01:32:20
Winner owned by Mrs. T Wainwright. Trained by Mrs. A Colledge.
Bred by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The lightly
raced and unexposed Mahboobti (Sample Copy x Mafakhir) came
home
in fine style to give owner Tracey Wainwright her first
winner Arabian racing. Millenium Leap cut out the running and
led till 2 furlongs out when Mahboobti; stalking dangerously
in behind made her move under a confident ride from Steve Harrison.
She went 3 ½ lengths clear in the final furlong but idled
slightly and when CS Volante (Makzan x Kilcummer Lalla) came
with her run in the final furlong she was kept up to her work
to win by a cosy 1 ½ lengths. CS Volante showed that she
is returning to form with a game run in second and her turn isn’t
far away. Whilst Lady Ace (Imman x Indrella Bint Procyon) seemed
to appreciate the drop down in trip and kept on well for third.
The Dinner Dance Banded Stakes over 2 Miles:
1. Allahmes Mr. P Collington
2. Cal Koihue Miss M Kowalska
3. Sweet Dream Mr. S Walker
Distances: 2, 7 9 ran Time: 04:22:80
Winner owned and trained by Mr. W Hill. Bred by Mrs. S J Turner.
Allahmes
(Azahames x Numenor Nim Allatari) won as he liked on a track
and trip
that he loves, always confident out in front
under regular jockey Phil Collington who made sure the race was
a true test of stamina, he came home as he liked 2 lengths clear
of the field to give owner / trainer Bill Hill the first leg
of a double. Cal Koihue (ZT Shahkar x Harsanmum) was always settled
in behind but didn’t have the required turn of foot to
pass the winner but was well clear of the third Sweet Dream (Way
To Go x FH Honey Mellon) who continues to frustrate.
The
Much Ado About Nothing Graduation Stakes (Anglo & PBA)
0-110 over 2 Miles:

3. Tomaros Mrs. A Masterson
Distances:
2 ½,
4 8 ran Time: 04:08:80

Oakvalley
Rialto (Band On The Run x Railtesse) claimed her third win
of the season
by outstaying her rivals in dour fashion to
give owner/ trainer Bill Hill his first double, Phil Collington
had her travelling smoothly throughout and she relished the trip
to out stay her rivals by 2 ½ lengths. Sugar Dandy (Ballacashtal
x Chantille Suacy Sal) was always handy and lost nothing in second
and was in turn comfortably clear of Tomaros (Tromeros x Othersal
Dawn Chorus) who was another 4 lengths back in third.
