The Group 2 at Newbury over 2 Miles is effectively the Arabian Stayers Championship and last years winner CS Al Wahed (Bengali D’Albret x Cikada (Klarnet)) proved once again that he is the king of the stayers and led from start to finish to record his second victory by an eased down length. Fripon Al Maury (Djouras Tu x Fayoum) finished with a wet sail in the final furlong but was no match for the winner, whilst A Mans Man (Dormane x Amira D’Albret) who has been running well all season finished a creditable third.
