The
Hamilton & Partners Maiden Stakes – 1
Mile 2 Furlongs:

2. Miss Moncrieff Mr. S Harrison
3. Noni Mr. D Turner
Distances:
neck, 1 ½ 8
ran
Winner owned and bred by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Trained by Mr. W Smith.
Cabenay (Bengali
D’Albret
x GV Camille) was far from well behaved on his UK debut, he
was coltish in the pre-parade ring
and then went over backwards on the way to post but he did win
the maiden and showed good battling qualities to hold on by a
neck in spite of veering violently left in the final furlong.
Miss Moncrieff (Makzan x Zeinah (Samsheik)) is proving very hard
to win with, she made all and in spite of the antics of the winner
still seemed reluctant to put her best foot forward and had every
chance to finally open her account. Noni (Dormane x Cary De Carrere)
ran very green but made a pleasing enough debut and was only
a length and a half behind in third.
The Larkinglass Farm Handicap Stakes (0-70) 1 Mile 6 Furlongs:

2. Sarrafina Mr PJ Murphy

and trained by Ms C Taylor. Bred by Mr. & Mrs.
P Wooster.
WA Savannah
Sunrise (Dantist x Sasparilla Sunrise (Maleik El Kheil)) has
been running
well all season and fully deserved this
win. She was held up but always travelling well and came with
her run in the final furlong to outstay her rivals in good fashion.
Sarrafina (Khairouan x Fayrelands Gold) relished this stamina
sapping trip and was always handy but couldn’t get past
the winner but lost nothing in defeat. Mystic Dream (Abitibi
x Autumn Dream) was another 3 lengths back in third.
The

D J Paton. Bred by Mrs. P Stroud.
David Paton continued his excellent season with yet another
win when El Buba battled home to win the Jebel Ali Racing Club
Qualifier over 1 Mile 2. El Buba (Mahbuba x Zalmera) was held
up and he always looked to be travelling the best and just got
up in the shadow of the post. Island Rover (Khamil x Columbine)
was an unlucky loser, he led all the way and battled on really
well in the final furlong but just lost out by a short head at
the line. Sabez (Mahbuba x Zalmera) stayed on for third.

Ryan Cummings scored his second win in the novice rider competition
when piloting the Brian Boulton trained Abra (Dormane x Djoula)
to victory, always well placed she showed a smart turn of foot
to pull clear in the final furlong to win by a comfortable 2
lengths. Pharitz Samman (Sambist x Mantua) showed that he was
returning to form with a bold display but was never going to
pass the winner. Maximillion (Crusader x Marsinique) was another
3 lengths back in third and remains in good form.

Distances:
2 ½,
15 4 ran

Hardtoback
(Norton Challenger x Harem VII) scored a well deserved win
for owner/
trainer/ breeder Jenny Peyton. Dropped back in
trip, she showed plenty of pace and skipped clear in the final
furlong to win going away by 2 ½ lengths. Sugar Dandy
(Ballacashtal x Chantille Saucy Sal) seemed to struggle over
this shorter trip and needs a stiffer test of stamina to be seen
to best effect. Chiloe (Saratogan x Belle D’un Soir) struggled
to go the pace and was 15 lengths back in third.

Go x Sylphide Al Maury). The latter seemed to appreciate the
step up in trip. Whilst Don Du Ciel Al Maury (Dormane x D’Idida)
was just over a length back in third.
