8/11 on favourite Eau Royal (Djel Bon X Wednah) obliged in the Group 2UAE International Stakes at Chester to confirm himself as a horse definitely on the upgrade. Always well placed by Richard Hills he quickened clear in the final furlong to score by a comfortable three lengths. Baraka Ibn Al-Tesah (ZT Shahkar X Al Tesah) ran a fine race in second staying on dourly from the rest of the field and seemed to appreciate the good to soft track. Fripon Al Maury (Djouras Tu X Fayoum) was another eight lengths back in third and seemed to find this stamina sapping trip beyond him. Last years winner Juma was very disappointing in fourth and is perhaps feeling the effects of a hard race over two miles when second to CS Al Wahed at Newbury.
