Does anyone have a Torsion treeless saddle they'd like to sell to me? I'd like to try one out on Marcel who is having back issues in case he just hates his very nice ASC gp. Also any advice on size? He is only 14.2 and normally wears a small 17 inch. Should I go for a 16 or 17 inch Torsion? I am 5ft 4 and about 9 stone. Thanks in advance

Hi,

I have a 12 year old fitform saddle if that would be any good?

It used to fit my old cob who was 14.3.

I have not tried the torsion but have had a barefoot, ghost and Heather Moffat soft tree saddle . The barefoot I did not like, the ghost I loved but horse did not like , the Heather Moffat soft tree was just too wide for me but horse liked. I have booked a fitting with a Heather Moffat flexee saddle which is a leather tree with gullets for my newly backed boy, hope you like the torsion I think it's similar to the barefoot but a bit more expensive, I had a 17in on mine and she was in a 17in treed saddle. Good luck, hope you like it.

Be careful, I researched and somebody wrote that the Torsion put pressure on horse where stirrups are attached. Donīt know from personal experience though. I had a Bob Marshall western saddle and that was OK for a lightweight person. Still slipped though and needed a breastplate for safety.

I have a very nice Torsion saddle that I may consider selling, I was sold it as a 17 in but I think it is a 16, I used it on my old mare and she is now retired, she loved it, she was croup high and very wide or though she was a lot narrower when I first got her.

Just to add my mare is 14.2 I am a lot heavier than you and a lot taller, the saddle pad is I think 23 inches long it speeds the weight out over a large area on the back. A treeless saddle is only as good as the pad you put under it. Pm my your mobile number and I will send you a photonof it on my horse
