We have one
He was bred by Karen Dewey and advertised on here! He's by the purebred stallion Calimeer, out of an Appaloosa mare, Batwell Indian Dawn.
Here's a link to his pedigree and there is a photo of him on there. He's GKJ Spotted Sensation (known at home as Mr Sidney).
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/gkj+spotted+sensation
We bought him specifically to event - his dam is closely related to Ginny Elliot's former 4* horse Night Cap.
Mr Sidney is beautifully put together and has an ideal temperament - he's calm, inquisitive and bold .... and he's got one heck of a jump. He's a yearling this year but watch out for him in 2015.
(Before that, watch out for the wonderful Oakmeister Dirty Harry, a pure Anglo colt bred by gem@oakmeister who will start his eventing career next year).
But back to the Araloosa - I can highly recommend them. Beautiful, intelligent and talented

I have a Calimeer filly (pictured in my sig as a yearling) and she thinks nothing of popping the ditch (even when it's electric fenced off) to get to the better grazing. I have no doubts that Sidney will make a wonderful, bold eventer. :) |

we have a beautiful 50/50 arab/appaloosa stallion, although he's never been ridden (came to us at 12yrs), he's sweet natured, intelligent, very laid back but with that hey, look at me attitude when needed. His babies have been very succesful ridden horse in most disciplines. we mainly use him back onto arab mares, giving us babies with super confirmation, lovely big jumping bums!, big paces, and they all without exception have amazing temprements. they love learning new things, love to please we love em...............

We have a beautiful 6 year old arab/appaloosa cross mare. She shows both breeds, high tail carriage and movement of the arab and bone and feet of the appaloosa,a nice cross. She is my daughter's whose A levels and a gap year are coming up,so she and I am wrestling with very difficult decision making at the moment. I already have 2 beautiful arabs, can I justify the time it takes to work a 3rd horse, with family, work etc?.... |

Hi Kate, You are very welcome to come and see her. We are in a dilemma because Lucy has a great deal to cope with this year and Magic is a horse that needs regular work and I also have a lot of work commitments this winter.I am hoping for some sign to tell me which is the right decision...

Thanks. Very stunning. And from a 'few spot' so quite a surprise. And she kept her markings very well. My fav pic below, and a recent(ish) one of the foal, who is clearly not a foal anymore.
There is something very special about the 'GAS' Arabs.

Wow Pop I didn't know about this little girl. Well not so little now. She is stunning and that is an over used adjective normally. |

Thanks :). Certainly is a stunning horse eh? So was the other foal I had from Mats. But for me, there is no horse quite so beautiful and warm, as Mats.
Kerry, I am forever in your debt for my Mats.

Brilliant "Oh I so agree, being the proud new owner of GAS Strategy" I had looked at the ad and wondered about him.
Now you have to tell all with pictures :)
We should have a GAS fans thread |

Oh my now I'm all emotional
Actually pop, when I was seaching for the spotty foal pics I came across a link for my old websiteIt had all gone and some old photos with it when the geocities host closed down, some clever people have salvaged some of those sites and part of mine is back it's a real trip down memory lane! http://www.geocities.ws/greenfieldsarabians/index-2.html
I should of course get a nice new one done! |
