Hi Sarah,
Had a quick look on the data source and the few pedigrees I looked at seemed to be GSB/ Old English. One horse I looked at had a polish cross. Hope this helps, please post more info as you get it :-)

Are you in contact with Mrs Hayward as I lost her address with my moves? She moved to Ashby and the horses were dispersed.
The horses were all old English bloodlines, not necessarily Crabbet but mix of Courthouse and ********tead I think. Our first pure bred was bred there, we still have her daughter, and a mare out of one of the original Tadsor mares. She had the last surviving Blue Domino daughter, and ours is her granddaughter. Very gentle and sensible horses, even the 20 year old stallions could be handled by an elderly woman who was slow on her feet.
There were some good ridden lines there, in its heyday they had horses doing (the forerunner of HOYs I think) and the only arabs there.
They used to have open days where all the horses came out on display, authentic costume the lot.
would love to hear of any surviving Tadsor horses, some I think went to the leicester area. |

Did not read your post properly, who are the 3 stallions?
Is Berooq still alive?, are the others Arrogance and Rambeau? |

Hi Sarah,
I assume that all the horses still have their registration papers, Hilda got a bit forgetful on the matings in the last years there but I don't thnk she had any surviving foals as both the mares and stallions she was using were older.
Without papers it could be hard to find homes for the stallions, no-one wants to geld an older horse. Have they been broken to ride now?
Can you tell me who the mare is?
The surviving mares when I was last there were Radialanda 1973 chestnut El Attorlando / Radiance Mifarisa 1974 bay Autunm Firefly / Hadassa Cherialanda 1976 chestnut El Attorlando / Cherain Princess Khadora 1981 grey Prince d'Oro / Al Kahira Sharondara 1982 bay el Darorlando / Sharlanda Princess Shadar 1986 chestnut El Darorlando / Sharlanda
At least one of the mares, maybe Radialanda, ended up in Aberdenshire. Near Frazerborough I think.
Hilda offered me Princess Shadar and Prince Arrogance many years ago, but at the time we had just bought a 2 year old colt, now a 14 year old stallion, and had our own full sister to Cherialanda and a mare on loan, on just over 2 acres, so it was impossible although had she only mentioned it a month earlier I would have jumped at the chance, 2 very nice arabs and perfect for anyone into preserving these old English lines. We have more land now but more horses too.
Arrogance would be 18 now and Rambeau a year younger. I assume Squirt was the bay foal I saw on one of my last visits. Can't remember now which mare was his dam, and he would be by either Darolando or Prince d'Oro. Nice bloodlines either way.
I can recommend them, but when I last saw them they had not reached their full growth potential, this would not affect how they breed on. And they probably look completely different now. Our own mare sold out of Tadsor as a yearling was being bred from as a 3 year old, and she has produced some hulking great foals! Not only taller but bigger framed. We got her as a teenage mare, and she passed on last year age 26, absolutely sound and still movement that had the WOW factor.
I wish you luck in finding the right homes, if it means a home or departing this life let me know and I'll see what I can do. |

Pat,
can you tell us a little more about the boys. I have found Prince Arrogance on the data base, but what about Rambeau, is that his reg name, if he is reg. Do you know if Hilda bred him
I know these boys are ridden, but anymore information however small in detail would be really helpful for them.
Thanks in advance, Pat |

Sarah, the email facility doesnt work so you need to add your email address to your profile for members to contact you. I can also then send you the pedigrees of the boys. Just had a dummy run and sent one to myselfto check it works
Pat,, you are a star. The information you have given had been invaluable.
The youngest stallion is 8, and is; ''PRINCE RADIATTORD'OR'' CHESTNUT 1996
If anyone is interested and needs to see a pedigree, mail me and I will forward them
