I thought it a good idea to help find horses by their pictures, as we have just done for someone
This could be a thread for people who have a picture of a horse but no name to put to it? not a quiz as such but nice to have it in the quiz room as not so many people stray in here and this might entice them

Here is a test for you can you find out who this horse is? if you can do that without clues you are well qualified to be able to handle anyones requests to find a horse also any information on him would be great. I know who he is of course but not a great deal about him Opps how embarassing(sp)

It would defeat the object to give you any clues though, all I can say is it is in one or the Arabian Horse world mags I have been to the stud who owned him though and he was a most prized stallion |

I don't understand how this quiz is different from the other one, if the poster of the photo knows who the horse is?
When I first looked I assumed it was if you had a photo and didn't know who it was of? |

Denise, I started this thread not as part of a quiz, but to help people find horses and put a name to them the picture I put in addmitedly I know who he is,but it was just a test to see if anyone could find out who he is with out clues! if we can do this I thought we would then be able to put our heads together and pool our knowledge to help anyone who wants help finding horses, we may or may not be able to, but we can try. so hope that will explain why this is not a quiz, but a helpline really 9 if you read my first post it may help to explain also |

I believe that its the latter, the former (1983 world champion handled by David Boggs) has (had) a white stocking on his near hind and if I remember correctly a star too

I was 99.99% certain it was Arn-ett Perlane, the tiny bit of doubt being the white hoof behind which I have never previously noticed. I should also have mentioned that he was US National Champion stallion in 1983 which may just have been the strongest ever year for that title, since the field I believe included Ruminaja Ali, Bey Shah and El Shaklan to name but three He was I think the last predominantly CMK (89%) stallion to compete successfully at the US Nationals except for Fame VF (69%) in 1987

| Ralvon Elijah was 2nd to Mizan Taj Halim when he won the World Championship in 1983. I"ve only seen pics of Arnette Perlane - but that head!! Never forgotten. |
